Arindam Sil directorial short film Jhhar Themey Jabe Ekdin has crossed 10 lakh views on all social media platforms. The multi-starrer short film was created with an aim to provide financial relief to the daily wagers of the entertainment industry. The film was conceptualised by Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee herself.

“#JhharThemeyJabeEkdin has crossed 10 LAKH+ views across all social media platforms. We are extremely thankful to each one of you for helping us in spreading the awareness. Let us keep being more empathetic towards the needy and fight this together,” Camellia Productions tweeted.


The song lyrics are also written  by CM Mamata Banerjee. The film stars Prosenjit Chatterjee, Jeet, Dev, Rituparna Sengupta , Koel Mallick, Paran Bandhopadhyay, Abir Chatterjee, Parambrata Chattopadhyay, Saswata Chatterjee, Mimi Chakraborty, Nusrat Jahan, Subhashree Ganguly, Rukmini Maitra and Priyanka Sarkar.

The film shows Rukmini Maitra’s father is sick and there is no one to take care of him. How the other actors have helped her in reaching to her father along with maintaining social distancing.

Recently, Bollywood also released a short film on a similar concept. Till now, lakhs of people have lost their lives and many are affected. India has extended its lockdown till May 3 for the safety of the people.
