There are reports coming that the outbreak of coronavirus has raised the cases of physical violence against women. Actress Rafiath Rashid Mithila has shared her concern over the issue and even posted a video on her Instagram with a string message.

“StopViolenceAgainstWomen #covi̇d19 @unwomen Staying at home during this lock down has exacerbated the situation for women and children who are at risk of domestic violence, and physical and sexual abuse. The number of such cases has increased globally due to this Covid19 lock down. Imagine being trapped with your perpetrator in the same house. Reach out to women and children in need of support. Call 109,” she wrote.


The lockdown situation has left many people jobless as the companies are incurring losses.

Recently, she even posted her singing video and it was very much liked by the fans. Rafiath and Srijit Mukherji got married last year in a low-keep ceremony in Kolkata. They had recently hosted a reception for their family and friends.

Srijit Mukherji is home-quarantine after returning from South Africa. The director was shooting for his next film with Prosenjit Chatterjee. Kakababur Protyaborton is based on Sunil Gangopadhyay’s novel ‘Jongoler Modhye Ek Hotel’
