Srijit Mukherji, who is busy writing the script of his next film, is celebrating his daughter’s birthday today and has shared a post on his social handle. The director has penned down a message with a series of pictures.
“From brutally observant and alternately spelt make sentence sessions to deeply animated and acutely philosophical discussions leading to poignant songs, you are the best thing that could have happened to me. A very happy birthday to my little rainbow!!!,” he tweeted.
Meanwhile, he is currently busy with his film Kakababur Protyaborton which stars Prosenjit Chatterjee, Aryann Bhowmik in the lead role. The shooting of the film has been done in South Africa.
The film is based on Sunil Gangopadhyay’s novel ‘Jongoler Modhye Ek Hotel’. The story will revolve around Raja Roy Chowdhury aka Kakababu and his nephew Santu. Both have gone on a trip to Nairobi, Kenya and there they are hosted by a Bengali couple. After some days, Kakababu and his nephew Santu is invited from an Africa-based Indian businessman in their hotel which is located inside Maasai Mara forest. But before their arrival, some German tourists go missing from the hotel and what happens next is the film all about.
On the other hand, Iti Bina is based on a woman Bina Das was a revolutionist and had attempted to assassinate the Bengal Governor Stanley Jackson, in the Convocation Hall of the University of Calcutta.
Srijit Mukherji’s last release Dwitiyo Purush was highly appreciated by the fans. The film is now being streamed online. The film stars Raima Sen and Parambrata Chatterjee in the lead role.
