Bengali veteran actor Santu Mukhopadhyay died on March 12. He was 69 years old and is survived by a daughter, actress Swastika Mukherjee. As reported Mukhopadhyay was suffering from multiple ailments. And now the actress Swastika Mukherjee has shared an adorable picture of her late father Santu Mukhopadhyay.
“অনাথের-ও নাথ আছে| চলার পথে সঙ্গে থেকো অনুক্ষণ,” she captioned the picture. Mukhopadhyay started his acting career in 1975 from the film ‘Raja.’ He had acted in more than 100 Bengali movies. Santu Mukhopadhyay was also known for his singing.

Meanwhile, Swastika Mukherjee will be next seen in Arjunn Dutta’s Shrimati. She will be sharing screen space with actor Soham Chakraborty for the first time. As reported, the film is a family drama, which will show Swastika Mukherjee as a wife of Soham Chakraborty. She is madly in love with her husband but she is also attracted towards the glamour of high society life. Her attraction grows to the extent that she ends up losing her own identity.
The film cast includes Debjani Bose, Trina Saha, Brishti, Kheya Chattopadhyay. Bollywood actor Barkha Bisht Sengupta will make a guest appearance.
Meanwhile, Arjunn Dutta’s Guldasta will star Swastika Mukherjee, Arpita Mukherjee and Debjani Chatterjee will be seen in the lead roles. Arpita Chatterjee, Swastika Mukherjee will be sharing the screen space for the first time.
