Dev Adhikari has recently wrapped the shooting of Toni which is directed by Abhijit Sen. However, there was never much information about the story or the star cast of the film. Dev Adhikari will be essaying the lead role and apart from him Paran Bandopadhyay and Shakuntala Barua will also be seen in pivotal role.
The story will revolve around a possessive father-son relationship. As the film will proceed, we will see their over -possessiveness nature is affecting their relationship. The problem becomes more critical when the son celebrates his parents’ 50th anniversary in a low-key way, but celebrated his own anniversary in a grand way. How they will make their relationship work and sort all their differences is the story all about.

The social drama marks the first project under the banner of Bengal Talkies and is expected to release during Christmas this year. Sanjhbati’ movie will showcase relationship from a completely different angle. Dev will play the character of a suburban young man who comes to the city and meets a young girl played by Paoli in unusual circumstances. However, Lily Chakraborty plays the main protagonist in the film. The veteran actress plays the role of an elderly woman who is in the center of the narrative.
In this movie Dev will be seen in completely different avatar. In last few years Dev is trying to balance his career between mainstream and urban content based cinema. Meanwhile, Paoli Dam has already worked with this director duo on their debut film and she is so excited to work with them once again.
