Srabanti Chatterjee was not the first choice for this film. She has replaced Nusrat Jahan. The film shooting has been done in and around Kolkata. The film is about how arsenic is poisoning the water of a village and the life of the villagers. Will Srabanti be able to raise awareness among villagers?

Uraan Starring Srabanti Chatterjee, Shaheb Bhattacharjee Locks Its Releasing Date
Director Tridib Raman’s first Bengali film ‘Uraan’ has finally locked its releasing date. The film stars Srabanti Chatterjee, Shaheb Bhattacharjee in the lead role. The trailer of the film was released last year itself and is about how arsenic is poisoning the water of a village and the life of the villagers. The film is all set for the release on January 17.

The trailer was shared by actress Srabanti Chatterjee on her official Twitter handle. The trailer opens up with the introduction of Srabanti Chatterjee. Srabanti is essaying the role of a singer who performs and teaches also. Once she meets Shaheb Bhattacharjee and he falls for her. Slowly they both fall in love with each other. But suddenly, Srabanti witnesses people in a village are suffering from water-borne diseases and local administration is not concerned much about this. The water is not safe from them and Srabanti is trying to raise awareness among the people. Will she be able to do this and save people from dying?

Meanwhile, Srabanti’s last film Teko was released in November and has performed well on the box office. The film deals with the hair fall concern. Ritwick Chakraborty, who loves his hair, suddenly starts losing his hair after the use of hair oil. He challenges the hair oil brand and in the journey, he met many people who have been cheated by other brands. Will he win this battle?
