The beautiful Sara Ali Khan is all set to ablaze the silver screen with her never-seen-before avatar in the upcoming rom-com 'Atrangi Re'. The actress will be seen romancing ‘hit-machine’ Akshay Kumar and South actor Dhanush in Aanand L. Rai’s directorial, which marks Sara’s first outing with Khiladi Kumar and the Kolaveri Di singer. In an exclusive chat with SpotboyE.com, Sara got candid about her film and spilled the beans on her fierce character Rinku in ‘Atrangi Re’
The Simmba actress also spoke about her experience of working with Akshay. Sara shared she can’t wait to see the audience’s reaction and that as the release date is inching closer, she feels that “Rinku is becoming less of her and more of us.” “I am very excited and humbled. I am feeling very grateful to have got this opportunity. I remember, I was talking to Dhanush sir the other day and I was telling him that the closer we come to release, the more I feel that the Rinku is becoming less mine and more yours. And then, Dhanush sir very rightly said that Rinku kabi meri thi hi nhi. Hmesha aapki thi. So, as the release date is inching closer, I am getting ready slowly day by day and I just hope that the audience will give Rinku a little bit love as much as I did,” Sara stated.
Talking about similarities that she shares with Akshay, the Coolie No. 1 actress asserted, “Akshay Sir is not all strict. He is very fun, supportive, and disciplined. He likes to work out, so do I, he is very discipline so do I, he loves to come early on the sets so do I. So, it was great working with him, and is very humbled. Akshay sir has contagious and amazing energy. I had a lot of fun working with him.”
Revealing the most 'Atrangi' thing about the actor, Sara said, “I think the kind of energy Akshay sir has and an effort and involvement that he puts in even in his 200th film, I feel is very Atrangi about him.” 'Atrangi Re' is slated to release on 24th December on Disney+ Hotstar.
