Jai Mummy Di’s Sunny Singh And Sonnalli Seygall Get Candid On Relationships; Singh Reveals He Dreamt Of Marrying Kareena Kapoor- EXCLUSIVE
Sunny Singh and Sonnalli Seygall are geared up for their upcoming film, Jai Mummy Di. Ahead of its on screen release on Jan 17, the actors speak exclusively to SpotboyE.com about the film, relationships, love marriages and lots more.

We have heard the phrase ‘Jai Mata Di’. Who came up with the title Jai Mummy Di for this film?
Sonnalli Seygall: Actually, the director Navjot Gulati had made a short film titled Jai Maata Di and producer Luv Ranjan gave it a quirky twist by naming our film, Jai Mummy Di.
Sunny Singh: The title is very cute and catchy. When I heard of it, I was happy.

As both of you have worked with Luv Ranjan in the past, did you have to go through the audition process or you were onboard quickly?
Sunny Singh: I am very fortunate to have got the opportunity to work with Luv Ranjan again and again. For this film, we didn’t have to audition which is a good thing. We share a good bond today.
Sonnalli Seygall: I can say that the films that I worked on for Luv Ranjan, were like an audition process for me, because in Pyaar Ka Punchnama 1 and 2, my characters were different and in this film, it’s different. I always wanted to do a role which is not like Sonnalli in real life. And I’m glad that Luv Ranjan thought of me. It’s an amazing to know that a filmmaker thinks of you when the script is amazing.

In the trailer, we see two mothers at loggerheads. In real life, have you’ll faced a situation where your parents didn’t approve of your partner?
Sonnalli Seygall: Well, my mom is very sweet but my aunt from Delhi has done quite a few awkward and embarrassing things with me and my cousins. Delhi moms are extra namkeen.

Have you hidden about your love affair at home and how was it like?
Sunny Singh: At my house, everyone is pretty chilled, but there’s a certain decorum. As a kid, I used to be afraid of them and due to my fears, I never used to make girl friends thinking what if I get a miss call on my landline. But, on the contrary, my mother used to feel proud when I used to receive love letters at home.

If given an opportunity, which actor or actress’ mother would you like to convince for marriage?
Sunny Singh: Honestly, I haven’t really thought about it. But if you ask me, then I would say the actress who’s on my wish-list is happily married. I would choose Kareena Kapoor Khan, if given an opportunity and would try my best to convince her mother.
Sonnalli Seygall: I’m not convincing anyone. If the guy wants to marry me, he should walk up to my parents and talk to them.
