In a post-success interview of Mardaani 2, Rani Mukerji, Vishal Jethwa and director, Gopi Puthran go candid about their experience of putting up a difficult film together
Mardaani 2 may have not made big moolahs at the box-office but it has won hearts of those who decided to buy tickets and watch the film in the theatre. I certainly enjoyed watching it and even more while reviewing it.
So, when we got the opportunity to meet the full team- antagonist, Vishal Jethwa- the boy who surprised me to no end, captain of the ship- Gopi Puthran and the Mardaani herself, Rani Mukerji- I grabbed it with both hands.
The conversation started by asking if the trio expected such an overwhelming response to the film. We spoke about the issues affecting the society, related to a woman's safety, and asked Rani if she fears for the safety of her daughter, Adira, considering the tough times we are living in.
