Zaheer Iqbal Opens Up About DATING Sonakshi Sinha: 'It Was A Great Feeling To Wake Up And Go To Work With Her’-EXCLUSIVE
In an exclusive interview with SpotboyE, Zaheer Iqbal reacts to dating rumours with Sonakshi Sinha and states they share a 'platonic friendship'
Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal are rumoured to be dating each other for quite some time now. Although they have been tight-lipped about their romance, their mushy photos, secret vacations, and outings say it all. In June this year, it was reported that the rumoured couple had decided to go public with their relationship in style. Now, SpotboyE.com reached out to the actor to know what’s brewing between them as we asked Zaheer if they are dating each other.
The Notebook actor shared his experience of working with the Dabangg girl in the upcoming film Double XL and Iqbal was all praise of Sonakshi. He stated that he got to learn so much from her during the shoot and that it was a great feeling to wake up and go to work with his 'best friend' Sona. Zaheer shared with us, “It has been a blast working with Sona. Firstly, because we are best friends, it’s a great feeling to wake up in the morning and go to work with your best friend. Other than that she is also a bhandar of talent. I have learned so much from her, I remember I used to straight up ask her so many questions on the sets of ‘Double XL. It was great to have so much talent I was exposed to learn from and soak in the knowledge. Working with Sonakshi in every possible way has been one of the best experiences of my life.”
Furthermore, when asked if their dating rumours are true, the actor added, “It all started from a prank. The relationship I and Sonakshi share is an absolutely platonic friendship. Interestingly, Sonakshi and Zaheer, who also featured in the song ‘Blockbuster’, have time and again sparked their dating rumours with sweet exchanges on social media. The duo often gives each other sweet- shout-outs and shares their pictures.
Meanwhile, directed by Satram Raman, ‘Double XL’ besides Sonakshi and Zaheer also stars Huma Qureshi and Mahat Raghavendra in lead roles. The social comedy-drama is a story about two plus-sized women dealing with body shaming, and breaking stereotypes set by society. It will hit cinemas on November 4.
