Raees Vs Kaabil First Day First Show: Find Out Who Is Leading

It's a big day in Bollywood as it will witness two
biggies – Hrithik Roshan’s Kaabil and Shah Rukh Khan’s Raees – battle it out at
the box-office. We parked ourselves outside two big theatres – PVR and
Cinepolis in Andheri – to get the public’s feedback post the first show.
To talk of Raees, Shah Rukh’s action-hero avatar, coupled
with punchy one-liners, seem to have struck a chord with the audience. The film
registered a roaring occupancy in the first show. While PVR recorded an 85%
occupancy, Cinepolis was houseful.
Film buffs were all praise for Raees and most of its
performances. The leading lady, Mahira Khan, received mixed reviews.
Hrithik Roshan and Yami Gautam-starrer Kaabil too has
resonated with the viewers. While a few moviegoers were taken in with the
heart-rending story, a few Hrithik fans were amazed with the action scenes and
the superstar’s earnest performance.
They also asserted that both Yami and Hrithik look
convincing in their respective roles and the duo’s chemistry is adorable. The
music of the film (composed by Rajesh Roshan) too received rave reviews and the
junta is of the opinion that it will contribute to the film’s success.
While the audience has given a thumbs up to both films,
the first show response is tilted in favour of Shah Rukh’s Raees. However,
having said that, the first show isn’t the barometer to predict a film’s
destiny at the ticket windows. Makers of both, Raees and Kaabil, have a long
weekend ahead of them. It would only be prudent to declare the verdict on
Monday morning.
