Badla, Weekend Box-Office Collection: Amitabh Bachchan-Taapsee Pannu Score A HIT Again
After the success of Pink, Amitabh Bachchan and Taapsee Pannu struck gold again. Their recent release Badla is doing very well at the box-office
Two years back, Amitabh
Bachchan and Taapsee Pannu impressed the viewers with their performances in the
social thriller Pink. The movie became a success and brought Taapsee into the
limelight. Now, 3 years later, the duo reunited again for Sujoy Ghosh’s crime
thriller Badla.
The movie released last Friday
and has been minting good money at the box-office. It did a business of Rs 5.04
crore on day 1 followed by good growth on day 2 with business of Rs 8.55 crore.
Now, the third day collections have registered further growth as the movie has
raked in Rs 9.61 crore which takes its first weekend business to to Rs 23.20
crore.
Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh has
tweeted the figures in a series of tweets. He wrote, “#Badla is a success
story... Glowing word of mouth converts into footfalls, consolidates its BO
status... Metros/multiplexes splendid... Tier-2 cities join the party on Day 2
and 3... Fri 5.04 cr, Sat 8.55 cr, Sun 9.61 cr. Total: ₹ 23.20 cr. India biz.
Gross BOC: ₹ 27.38 cr.”
