Bharat Box-Office Collection, Day 2: Salman Khan-Katrina Kaif’s Eid Bonanza Is Unstoppable
The deadly combination of Salman Khan and Ali Abbas Zafar is managing to score a hattrick with their latest release. After giving us two blockbuster films like Sultan and Tiger Zinda Hai, their new Eid release, Bharat is all set to smash records with its opening day business. The movie started off on a big note at the box-office as it raked in Rs 42.30 crore, the highest opener for the year so far and not to forget, the same day, India defeated South Africa in the World Cup 2019. So, you see, even the matches couldn’t hold back the business of the film.

Now, the day two numbers only prove that there is no stopping for this Eid bonanza as on a working Thursday, it managed to bring in an impressive number of Rs 31 crore, taking its total business to Rs 73.30 crore. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted, “#Bharat puts up a big total on Day 2 [working day after #Eid holiday]... Plexes saw normal decline, while single screens held fort... Saw excellent occupancy in evening/night shows... Overall, 2-day total is superb... Wed 42.30 cr, Thu 31 cr. Total: ₹ 73.30 cr. India biz.”

Not just commercially, Bharat has been earning positive reviews even from critics. I had reviewed the film and rated it 3 stars. Here are some excerpts, “There are moments of swagger, romance, anger and dance- and full marks to Mr Khan for that. I quite liked him. His swag, in particular in this one, is worth whistles. Loved the bike ride in 'maut ka kua' when he is 20. Loved his look and hoarse voice when he turns 70. Loved the zeal he depicts in solving the problems of everyone around him. Loved his shyness when Katrina Kaif gets often bold with him. Flashes of Amitabh Bachchan's role in Hum (but not aided by as good a background score as Mukul Anand's entertainer).”
