BOX-OFFICE: Dear Zindagi Records A Fantastic Weekend Collection Of Rs 32.50 Cr
Move over the side-effects of demonetisation, SRK and Alia Bhatt starrer Dear Zindagi clearly is lease affected with it. There is a rapid growth in the box-office figures from Friday to Sunday. As the trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweets, Dear Zindagi has surely packed a solid punch!

The film has so far collected Rs 32.50 cr in India.

Shah Rukh Khan and Alia Bhat's Dear Zindagi collected Rs 8.75 cr on Day 1 and Rs 11.25 cr on Day 2 and Rs 12.50 cr on Day 3. This totals to Rs 32.5 cr over the weekend.

The film got a decent opening on Friday itself; of course people were in a dilemma about how the junta will receive the film amidst the demonetisation phase, clearly the queries have been answered. (FIRST DAY COLLECTION: Alia-SRK’s Dear Zindagi Gets A STRONG Start At The Box-Office, Nov 26). Even overseas, Dear Zindagi has recorded great figures.

Not as high as Dear Zindagi, but John-Sonakshi starrer Force 2 has also marked a decent collection in its second week. As tweeted by Taran Adarsh, the film has touched the Rs 30 cr mark in its second week.

The figures are promising, but Dear Zindagi is getting good response from the critics and the masses as well. Directed by Gauri Shinde, the film shows Shah Rukh Khan as a life coach (Dr Jehangir Khan).

This is Alia’s third release of the year after Kapoor & Sons and Udta Punjab. She won a lot of accolades for Udta Punjab as well. 2016 has treated Alia Bhatt with immense fame and appreciation- and justifiably so.

Besides Alia and SRK, the film produced by SRK, Karan Johar and Gauri Shinde, also stars Kunal Kapoor, Aditya Roy Kapur, Angad Bedi and Ali Zafar.
