Dabangg 3 showed a little spike in the box office figures on Sunday, though it showed a linear growth on the opening day and the following day, this Salman Khan starrer has minted Rs.29 crore on Sunday as per boxofficeindia.com. Opening with a box office number of Rs. 24.5 crore on the following day it minted Rs. 22 crore. With the social unrest in the country because of protests over the Citizenship Amendment Act, the movie's collections have seen a dent. 
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh just before the figures of the Sunday collection were unveiled had tweeted about hoping for a better turnaround on Sunday. His Tweet read, “#Dabangg3 stays in the same range on Day 2... Few circuits up, few down... Protests hit biz hard... Loses approx ₹ 7.5 cr to ₹ 9 cr in 2 days... Biz should see a turnaround on Day 3 [Sun]... Fri 24.50 cr, Sat 24.75 cr. Total: ₹ 49.25 cr. India biz. Note: All versions.” In yet another tweet, he also mentioned about the movie being trimmed by 9 minutes and 40 seconds. According to the audience, the run time of the movie is over 2 hours thus, making it too long for the viewers. SpotboyE.com editor Vickey Lalwani rating the movie with two and a half star mentioned how this installment of the Dabangg franchise is not filmmaker Prabhudeva’s cup of tea

He further mentioned in his review, “SK might resist, but have the efforts stopped after Tubelight? The call of duty drives me to make a honest comment right upfront- Dabangg 3 is yet another old wine in a new bottle in Salman's filmography.”
