Indoo Ki Jawani Box Office Report: Kiara Advani's Film Gets A Dull Opening Thanks To The Pandemic

Thanks to the outbreak of Coronavirus, no film could make it to the box office. After months of lockdown, the filmmakers turned to OTT platforms to release their film. However, with things getting back on track, Kiara Advani and Aditya Seal's latest venture Indoo Ki Jawani made it to the theatres. The story is about a young girl who turns towards dating apps to find love. She meets Aditya Seal who is supposedly Pakistani. As per Box Office India, Indoo Ki Jawani made Rs 25 Lakh on its opening day. Reportedly, there were some issues between exhibitors and distributors and hence, the film could only catch up at the box office in the second half of the day. While it is the new normal, and one can blame Coronavirus for the film's less collection. The report also states that otherwise, the film had the potential to at least make Rs 75 Lakh on day one.
As Indoo Ki Jawani became the early few films to make it to the theatres post its reopening, Kiara tried to encourage her fans to visit the theatres and watch the film by visiting a theatre herself. Ahead of the release, Kiara watched Indoo Ki Jawani along with her family members in the theatre and called it a surreal experience. She shared, "Finally!! Back at the cinemas missed the Big screen so much! Watched #IndooKiJawani with my family last night and the experience was surreal!
