Malang, Hacked Box-Office Collections Early Prediction: Hina Khan To Struggle, Disha Patani-Aditya Roy Kapur Starrer To Lead

This Friday, moviegoers will witness two films clashing at the box-office. Mohit Suri directorial Malang starring Aditya Roy Kapur, Disha Patani, Anil Kapoor and Kunal Kemmu will clash with Hina Khan’s Bollywood debut movie Hacked, based on the cybercrime. While Malang is a big-budget movie, Hacked is a small budget movie and may have a limited audience. Now to know the early box-office prediction on Day 1 of both the films we got in touch with Trade Analyst and Film Business Girish Johar.
Girish Johar has estimated the early collection of Hacked and Malang. According to him, Disha and Aditya led Malang will collect around Rs 6 crore on Day 1, and if positive response received the collection can go up to Rs 7 cr by the evening. On the other hand, Hacked may earn around Rs 1 crore. Speaking about Disha and Aditya’s Malang, Girish Johar said, “Mohit Suri is coming back after a long time and he has given good films in the past. He added further, “Disha is scorching fire on screens which is mind-blowing. Songs are also being appreciated a lot as Mohit has a fantastic music sense which is clearly shown in the songs. Visually, whatever marketing promotions they have shared is excellent. The film has already grabbed a lot of eyeballs and made a lot of noise. But I think Malang has not gone to become a full-blown commercial film. The film also goes into the intelligent target audience.”
Talking about Hina Khan’s debut film Hacked, Johar said, “Vikram Bhatt is a great filmmaker. This kind of trailer is showing what social media is doing to our lives. But it has very limited appeal in terms of marketing the film.”
