Total Dhamaal, Box-Office Collection, Day 1: Ajay Devgn-Madhuri Dixit-Anil Kapoor's Multi-Starrer Gets A Positive Start But Will It Maintain The Tempo?

The film has a fab star cast to pull the audience to theatres and that's evident from Indra Kumar's film's first day collections. But the big question is, will average to poor reviews help this comedy drama sail through the weekend?

Total Dhamaal, Box-Office Collection, Day 1: Ajay Devgn-Madhuri Dixit-Anil Kapoor's Multi-Starrer Gets A Positive Start But Will It Maintain The Tempo?
Total Dhamaal, starring Ajay Devgn, Anil Kapoor, Madhuri Dixit, Riteish Deshmukh, Javed Jaffery, Johny Lever, Arshad Warsi has managed to grab a decent opening. According to a report in Box Office India, the film has made Rs 16- Rs 16.25 crore.

This Indra Kumar no-brainer has surely cashed in on its star cast to pull the audience in. And its power is clearly seen in the Day 1 collection.  However, the reviews coming in are not so positive, word of mouth among masses is weak too, which raises the question that will Total Dhamaal sustain or maintain the same rhythm through the weekend, unaffected by reviews?

A Still From Total Dhamaal

SpotboyE.com Editor Vickey Lalwani rated the film 1.5 stars and was quite disappointed with it showcasing absolutely NO Dhamaal. He had a lot of questions to ask, "Did Indra Kumar really make Beta, Dil and Raja? Is he not in sync with times? Hasn't he  lost his touch as well? Did Anil Kapoor really have to do this film? Was it some old comittment to Indra? Ditto for Ajay Devgn. Did Madhuri Dixit ever apply so much pancake? Did she really enjoy forcing out those Marathi lines? Has Madhuri hammed so much in any film?"

Well, it's definitely a positive news for Indra Kumar that the film has got the second highest opening after Gully Boy, but let's hope the film records a great weekend too for the real 'dhamaal'.
