War Box-Office Prediction Day 1: Hrithik Roshan-Tiger Shroff Starrer Gets A Huge Opening
Here’s the Day 1 box-office collection prediction of War starring Hrithik Roshan, Tiger Shroff and Vaani Kapoor. The film had an advance booking of Rs 32 Crores and might very well become the highest opener for all the stars
On Gandhi Jayanti, October 2, cine goers will witness 3 releases this week. Hrithik Roshan, Vaani Kapoor and Tiger Shroff starrer War is set a clash with big-budget south film Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy starring Amitabh Bachchan and Chiranjeevi. One Hollywood film Joker has also chosen the same day to hit the screens. This morning, the final advance booming numbers of a whopping Rs 32 Crores has been revealed as we had earlier told you War has received a massive advance opening. Speaking about same and to know the Day 1 box-office collection prediction we got in touch with Film Business and Trade Analyst Girish Johar.
When asked about the BO collection prediction, Johar told us, “Hrithik Roshan is a huge megastar and Tiger Shroff is also a huge star and coming together of both is going to create fireworks. Not only on the screens but also at the box-office, their fans and the audience want to watch them together. Their chemistry, gloss, their action and high-octane shoot location everything is looking fantastic. It’s looking like a film, where both are shooting how their fans wanted to see them in action-thriller and glossy zone. Expectations are good since everyone has loved the trailer and advances are fantastic. So, when it’s gonna start, it’s gonna start pretty much huge.”
The advance booking figures helps War stands at the third position
1. Avengers: Endgame - 49,62,00,000 (Hindi and English version in Hindi markets)
2. Bahubali: The Conclusion - 37,53,00,000
3. War - 32,00,00,000 approx
4. Avengers: Infinity War - 29,14,00,000
5. Thugs Of Hindostan - 26,27,00,000
Talking about its first-day box-office collections, he told us, “I’d peg it somewhere around Rs 45 Cr plus on Day 1. I somehow feel, it has other competitions also though minor, but I still believe, with positive word-of-mouth, it can go to 50 plus also.” There’s another Hollywood release Joker when asked about if it will affect the collections, he said, “To some extent, yes it will affect. Joker is a very premium product. In cities like Mumbai, Delhi, Pune and Bangalore, where there are hardcore Hollywood movie buffs. There’s a huge buzz around the film and has got fantastic reviews as well.”
On whether War will be the highest opener for Hrithik and Tiger, he told us, “War has the possibility of breaking the number of Aamir Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Katrina Kaif and Fatima Sana Shaikh starrer Thugs Of Hindostan. It again depends on the evening shows, how positive the word-of-mouth will be.”
When asked about the massive opening of War, he said, “Tickets sales are huge for War. But let me tell you, the ticket sales are for Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. It not only for Wednesday.”
