Priya Prakash Varrier- who became an overnight sensation with her winking act in Manikya Malaraya Poovi, from her debut Malayalam movie, Oru Aadar Love, is making headlines once again. Even though the actress has made a huge fan following in a few months, now sje is set to make her Bollywood debut, the teaser of which has created a stir on social media.

The teaser of Priya’s Bollywood debut, Sridevi Bungalow was released yesterday, and since then the makers and the actress have been receiving backlash for the last scene in the teaser. Yesterday, we informed you about Boney Kapoor, who has already sent a legal notice to the makers for making a film on late actress without their consent.

Well, as soon as the teaser was dropped online, netizens slammed the makers and Priya Prakash Varrier for tarnishing the actress’ image.

Slamming Priya, a netizen wrote, “Forget authentication. Who gave them the right to do this? and #PriyaPrakashVarrier looks SO SO SO FAKE. She cannot act. She has overacted so much in the first shot itself. Unnecessary expressions. And what has she achieved to play such an iconic role? #Shame”

Another Twitterati wrote, “Yes, it can be a coincidence tht her name in film is Sridevi and she is actress in the film. But how can you show the acteress named Sridevi in bathtub and then say tht it has nothing to do with Sridevi's life and death? #SrideviBungalow @arjunk26 @SrideviBKapoor”


A user named Ranjan Naidu slammed the makers saying, “Such a shameful and disgusting act it is by the makers of #SrideviBungalow to depict the legendary actress in such a disgraceful manner. Utter nonsense and rubbish it is. I want the The Indian Film Fraternity to take strong action on it. The departed soul deserves respect.”


Another user blamed them for tarnishing the actress’ image. He tweeted, “The teaser of sleazefest masquerading as a movie #SrideviBungalow is a dirty & ugly attempt to tarnish the image of an Indian icon. The movie has to be banned! Nobody should be allowed to get away with such a cheap act for fame & mileage.  #Sridevi”
