Nawazuddin Siddiqui has made a place for himself in the industry. While he is not the ordinary romantic hero of Bollywood, Nawazuddin has created a fan base for himself with his prolific acting in films like Gangs Of Wasseypur, Sacred Games and more. He has won many accolades for his acting, but it's his love life that calls for a lot of attention. Currently, his marriage with wife Aaliya has hit the rock bottom as the lady is seeking a divorce. Though she hasn't got into details about the reason, it was in his memory, a book An Ordinary Life, the actor made startling revelations about his colourful life.
Nawazuddin Siddiqui has had his share of affairs starting with a girl names Sunita who was an NSD Graduate. Narrating their affair, he wrote, "It was very sweet like rain is after a very long spell of drought. Sunita had fallen madly in love with me. Every day, she would come over, hang out at my house in Mira Road and scrawl our names in tiny font all over the wall." Nawazzudin even recalled how Sunita broke up with him and he had suicidal thoughts after that.
Post Sunita, a Jewish girl from New York came into his life. "Before that came Suzanne: a lovely, dear Jewish girl from New Jersey, who lived in New York City. We met there and hit it off. She came to Mumbai and began to live with me. Every few months, she kept extending her visa. The shooting of Miss Lovely commenced. Suzanne used to accompany me there. Then came the day when her visa expired and she needed to return to New York to sort it out. She was gone for many months," he wrote.
In his book, he has also recalled the one-night stand he had with a waitress at a cafe in New York. He remembered how she approached him as she had watched his film and then they had one night of passionate love.
The last confession about his love affair was the most controversial of all. He spoke about his affair with Miss Lovely co-star Niharika Singh. In his book, he revealed how he went to her home and she was dressed in faux fur and how we was seduced by it. He wrote, "When she opened the door, revealing a glimpse of the house, I was speechless with amazement. A hundred, or so it seemed, little candles flickered beautifully. She wore soft faux fur, looking devastatingly gorgeous, her beauty illuminated even more in the candlelight. And I, being the lusty village bumpkin that I am, scooped her up in my arms and headed straight for the bedroom. We made passionate love." This affair as he mentioned came to an end as his Jewish girlfriend Suzanne still kept sending him emails and Niharika got a hang of it. Later, as this memoir got published, Niharika penned a long note saying how Nawazuddin is a sexually repressed man. It was during the wake of #MeToo movement that Niharika poured her heart out sharing her experience with Nawaz. She wrote, "Nawaz being an aspirational, sexually repressed Indian man whose toxic male entitlement grew with his success, is hardly surprising. What is interesting to note is that despite not identifying as a Hindu, he carries deep caste prejudices since he chose to protect the honour of his 'Brahmin' wife after their names came up in the CDR scam while on the other hand, he felt very comfortable painting me as a seductress wearing faux for in his book, who he could sexually exploit, for public imagination."
