Bollywood's biggest superstar, Amitabh Bachchan celebrates his birthday today. As the legend turns 73, here's disclosing 10 of his unfulfilled desires:

1) To act in an Indian take on the Peter O'Toole-Richard Burton movie Becket. In a way, he has already performed the part of O'Toole (the privileged one) to Rajesh Khanna in Hrishikesh Mukherjee's Namak Haraam. Yet, since decades, wife Jaya Bachchan has been hoping to see him reprise the role.

2) To build a centre in Allahabad, Bhopal or Delhi, devoted to the learning of the arts - literature, poetry and theatre - dedicated to the memory of his late poet father Harivanshrai Bachchan.

3) To buy an ocean cruiser for family holidays. Over a decade ago, he went shopping for one but gave up the idea.

4) To paint and photograph. He has clicked pictures of wild life and eons ago, painted an abstract resembling a blazing sun.

5) To co-star with Naseeruddin Shah and they nearly did, in a Sujoy Ghosh film. Apparently, Shah wasn't too hot on the idea. Only Ghosh and they know why the project didn't take off.

6) To play the sitar (with professional skill).

7) To take off on a world tour to recite the poems of Harivanshrai Bachchan, including passages for the classic Madhushala (SpotboyE has learnt that plans are afoot for such a concert which will be different from the usual Bollywood naach-gaana events).

8) To explore the booming TV medium further, while simultaneously selecting film scripts with a difference. A hint to all filmmakers who long to cast Bachchan Sr. - he has a soft corner for the script and dialogue of Oliver Stone's script for JFK, the political expose on the assassination of John F Kennedy.

9) To avoid controversies and hostile interviews which misrepresent him. Ouch.

10) To be techno-savvy, extend his astounding fan following on Twitter and blog, update his computers and apps regularly, and of course, to live happily ever.

SpotboyE wishes Amitabh Bachchan a very Happy Birthday and here's hoping that all these desires come true ASAP.
