After reading about a little girl named Pooja, who was in need of a bone marrow transplant, Salman along with his brother Arbaaz Khan became the first donors. He had said, "Donate marrow and save a life."

When he financially helped a 16-year-old with an open heart surgery: 

Salman Khan’s NGO financially assisted for the open heart surgery of an assistant carpenter’s 16-year-old daughter. Shyam Kanhaiya, an assistant carpenter and member of FWICE had requested the body to help him out. That’s when Salman Khan walked in.
