If I have to choose an actress who’s created an impact through her roles, then Taapsee Pannu’s name instantly rings up. The actress who began her career through modelling transitioned to films, but it wasn’t a smooth sailing ride for Taapsee. After a slew of South films, Taapsee marked her big screen debut in Baby, but it was Pink in 2016 that brought her fame and recognition that she deserved.

Today, as she turns a year older, we recollect some of her strong on screen roles that left a lasting impression:

Pink (2016):

Taapsee essayed the role of Meenal Arora, a strong Delhi girl who beats up a guy as he tries to molest her inside a locked room. The entire narration of the story to the court case was on point. Taapsee’s strong and layered performance was highly noticed and it opened newer avenues for the actress.

Naam Shabana (2017):

The film which is a spin-off to the movie Baby focuses majorly on Taapsee’s character of Shabana Khan as she avenges the death of her lover and helps track down global arms dealer and supplier Mikhail. Taapsee unveiled her action avatar in this film and walked away with huge applause.

Mulk (2018):

Then last year, Taapsee yet again gave us a reason to admire her as she took on the role of Advocate Aarti Mohammed who proves her family innocent. Her powerful performance as a strong lawyer gave us goosebumps.

Badla (2018):

As a young and shrewd businesswoman, Taapsee manages to take us by surprise with her cunning role of Naina Sethi who skilfully plans a murder and acts innocent. Yet again, she was paired alongside Amitabh Bachchan, and she rightfully held her own.

Mission Mangal (2019):

Her next project will see her in the role of a scientist named Kritika Aggarwal who contributes in the success of Mars Orbiter Mission along with a team of scientists. We are expecting another kickass performance.
