Kamal Haasan has carved his niche and garnered his fame with his iconic roles and films. Over the past six decades, the actor has charmed his audiences with his talented acting skills and performances. Born in Ramanathapuram, Madras State, now Tamil Nadu, the actor is born to parents D. Srinivasan, a lawyer by profession and mother Rajalakshmi, a homemaker. For his work over the past decades, Haasan has won three national awards for his films and over nineteen Filmfare awards and has been winning the hearts of his fans with his stellar performances.

Born on November 7, 1954, Haasan has worked as an actor, dancer, director, producer, playback singer, lyricists, and politician. The actor received his primary education in Paramakudi before shifting to Madras, now Chennai and continued his education in Santhome. On a constant encouragement from his father, Haasan was always attracted to films and fine arts. Over the years the actor has worked particularly in the Tamil Cinema, and also in Telegu, Malayalam, Kannada, Hindi and Bengali films.
