Ajay Devgn had pumped in all his effort in making Shivaay the film of 2016 but fate had other plans. Though the film lost the box-office battle when it was pitted against Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, viewers had a field day seeing the vintage macho charm of Ajay Devgn. He even fronted the first look poster of the film without his shirt.

Action Jackson failed miserably at the box-office and a few even termed it as regressive, but no one uttered a word when action scenes made way to the screen. Ajay, with his charismatic sword sequences, won everyone’s heart. The highlight was Ajay’s bare-chested fight sequences.

This cult film of Ajay needs no introduction. Apart from gaining love from the audiences, the film was appreciated by the Mumbai Police as well. But talk about an action-packed film and how can there be no Ajay Devgn without his shirt? Rohit Shetty did justice to his persona when he filmed the prayer sequence which showcases Ajay doing Namaskar coming out of water.

This time Ajay was a pure surprise and this time it was Vishal Bhardwaj who took full advantage of Ajay’s macho image and a toned body. It was delightful to see a bare-chested Ajay performing puja sans any fight or chasing the goons.

Ajay fought the British in Raj Santoshi’s The Legend of Bhagat Singh and it was a raw Ajay Devgn all along during the torture sequence. All’s well that ends well. The torture did earn him dividends as he was awarded the Best Actor trophy during the 2003 National Awards.

We can’t end this feature, without the mention of this picture:

This image of Ajay Devgn also proves that he is equally fond of taking his clothes off even when films are not involved.

Why should Salman Khan have all the fun? Happy Birthday macho man.
