Actor Sushant Singh Rajput is considered to be one of the few actors in the film fraternity to have a successful transition from the small screen to the silver screen. Winning hearts and bagging several accolades for his promising role as Manav in the TV show Pavitra Rishta, opened doors for him in the tinsel town. While he was already a household name with his TV show, there was no looking back for him, as his set of the audience was passionate to see him on the silver screen as well.

Today on his 34th birthday we take a look at some of his path-breaking roles on the celluloid which helped him continue his dream run in Bollywood; garnering praises from the audience. Setting his foot in Bollywood with Abhishek Kapoor’s Kai Po Che, he created a lot of noise for his splendid performance. His role as Ishaan Bhatt spoke about taking that leap of faith and marching on the way of achieving your dreams. He bagged several nominations and took home the trophy of best male debut at Screen Awards in 2013. This mystery action-thriller saw him stepping into the shoes of a detective, this tale of pass out from college lock horning with a criminal mastermind played by him, took us on roller coaster ride. Not only did he chose a different role, but the actor also experimented with his looks.

M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story just got the actor on the list of the many imminent filmmakers. We can say he just nailed it and how! From his body language to his looks as onscreen captain cool, Mahendra Singh Dhoni, the actor did not leave any stone unturned. Landing the actor on the list of bankable stars in the entertainment business. What followed next after this phenomenal movie, was tons of brand endorsement in the actor’s kitty. Next up in the row is Abhishek Chaubey’s action film Sonchiriya. Sushant brilliantly portrayed the role of a dacoit, Lakhan "Lakhna" Singh, as the film was based on Chambal’s dacoit tale. His portrayal of a dacoit sends chills down the spine, garnering applauds from the critics.


And lastly, Nitesh Tiwari’s Chhichhore portrayed the role of Anirudh ”Anni” Pathak in this comedy-drama. It struck the right chords of the audience as the movie was based on the reunion of college friends after several years.
