On this day, 6 years back, Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone starrer Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani released on the big screens. The movie did very well both critically and commercially. Everything about the film, right from their chemistry to the songs, was much-loved by the audiences. Even today, we refer it as one of the most coming-of-age romantic films that aptly portrayed emotions of love, heartbreak, ambition and family love.
Now, 6 years later, Ranbir and Deepika who essayed the characters of Bunny and Naina recreate the fun track Balam Pichkari for the viewers. We see the duo dancing and their fun chemistry in the video can’t be missed. Also, Ranveer Singh shouting “yeah baby” in the background only adds to it. Watch the video below:
While, the video seems to be from an award show, it really makes us crave for a sequel to the superhit flick. On the film front, Deepika Padukone will be seen in Meghna Gulzar’s Chhapaak next opposite Vikrant Massey. The movie is based on the true story of acid attack survivor Laxmi Agarwal and Deepika essays her role in the film. Also, Deepika is a producer on this project. Also, reportedly the actress will play Ranveer Singh’s wife in the film ’83 which is based on legendary cricketer Kapil Dev’s life and the historic World Cup win of India against West Indies in the year 1983. Recently, Deepika’s wax statue was unveiled at Madame Tussauds, London.
Ranveer Singh will be seen in ’83 essaying Kapil Dev’s role on screen and then he has Karan Johar’s Takht that also stars Kareena Kapoor Khan, Vicky Kaushal, Alia Bhatt, Anil Kapoor, Janhvi Kapoor and Bhumi Pednekar. Ranbir Kapoor has Brahmastra with girlfriend Alia Bhatt followed by Shamshera alongside Sanjay Dutt and Vaani Kapoor.
