'Bala To Release On Nov 7' Tweets Ayushmann Khurrana, But Didn't They Go Hell For Leather To Get An October 31 Release?- EXCLUSIVE
We hear that a huge number of calls and meetings since yesterday until noon today, has finally resulted in Jio Studios (producer of Bala) announcing that it's not going to be Oct 31 for Bala, but Nov 7.

"Bala is an excellent film, it has Ayushmann. Joi Studios is not worried," says a source close to the studios. Here's Ayushmann's tweet having Jyoti Deshpande's quote. Jyoti Deshpande is a former Eros emplyee, who is now the Media President Of RIL for its M & E business.

We at SpotboyE.com are very buoyant and optimistic about Khurrana's film, he's having a dream run isn't he? But before this, let us tell you that they Jio Studios planned going all out to release it on October 31, a day before Ujda Chaman- which like Bala is also based on the subject of premature balding.

It all began with Bala makers rescheduling their films release date to Nov 7, a day before Ujda Chaman. Next, the makers of Ujda Chaman changed the films release date and announced that they are arriving a week early, i.e. on Nov 1.

Now, rumour has it that the makers of Bala had planned to move the vacation judge/court to hear them out tomorrow/day after and grant them an October 31 release- which would have been a day before Ujda Chaman hit the big screen.

We had also reported recently that the lawyers of both the parties had seen the two films last week and submitted their respective reports in Bombay High Court.

We had texted Jyoti Deshpande, but despite being online and repeated reminders from our side, she chose to not revert. We texted her yesterday and this morning as well.

We also texted the Jio publicist yesterday, but she too had maintained a stoic silence.

Mind you Bollywood Hungama released a story this morning that Bala is coming on October 31. Mind well- Bollywood Hungama is bang on, when it comes to dates.

Anyway, even if Bala had got the Court's nod in the next 24-48 hours, the multiplexes it seems were not keen on receiving it on Thursday, Oct 31- primarily because the two movies would have eaten into each other and maybe disturb their overall profit. Secondly, they didn’t want to compromise on the Diwali releases- Housefull 4, Saand Ki Aankh and Made In China. They want to give them a full 1-week run at the ticket windows before anything else comes in their midst. "It's Diwali time and it's only fair to be fair," says a source.

We hear, the multiplexes had even taken a call to request Anil Thadani(Bala distributor) to back away if he would have requested them to take Bala after getting the Court's verdict in their favour.  When contacted Thomas, who’s heading the Multiplex Association, simply told us, “No comments.”

Anyway, the drama is over. As Jyoti Deshpande rightly says it's Diwali time and let's be positive. Everything is fair in love and war as they say- but thank god that sanity has prevailed and both films have a gap of 7 days. Am I right?
