Sanjay Leela Bhansali directorial Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar has been making headlines, even weeks after its release. While the show received mixed reactions from the netizens and critics alike, it was the performances of the actors that stole the show. As Sonakshi Sinha, Aditi Rao Hydari, Sanjeeda Sheikh, Richa Chadha, and Manisha Koirala left the netizens impressed, Shermin Segal, SLB’s niece was called out for her ‘expressionless acting’. Apart from this, she has also been taking small jibes at her co-stars, which is making her a subject of trolling.

Recently, Sharmin, Richa, and Sanjeeda came together for an interview to talk about their experience of working with SLB for the project. A video of the same is currently going viral on social media. It was during the interview, that the Ek Hasina Thi actress called the filmmaker a perfectionist. She went on to explain that he wants everything “to look not mediocre because whatever he does is nothing less than excellence.” Further adding to her statement, the Malaal actress took an indirect jab at Sheikh and implied that the older actress was an outsider. Quoted by the Free Press Journal, she explained how ‘perfectionist’ is a very basic term to describe the filmmaker. She added, “It’s the kind of a word that an outsider who has never worked with him, been on his set, and seen the kind of director that he is will use.” While Sanjeeda didn’t react and kept her composure, netizen were left agitated on Sharmin trying to disregard her co-star. One wrote, “And this Sharmin OMG how bitchy and arrogant is she? Girl touch some grass if you were not related to SLB you would have never been able to set foot on a film set.” Another wrote, “What a rude person she is??!! Only an outsider would use the word perfectionist to describe SLB??...how entitled is she??? jeeezzzz...She should have been called out then and there… First off...she cant act and now she is implying outsiders are basic??? so infuriating!!! How did Sanjeeda sit through that...I would have lost it...Arrogant piece of a**!!” Other one wrote, “Sanjeeda should have said, "Well, we're all not lucky enough to be a nepo insider like you".”
