Sushant Singh Rajput and Ankita Lokhande were in a relationship for years. They featured as husband and wife in Ekta Kapoor's Pavitra Rishta and fell in love on the sets of the show. For years they appeared as a couple, be it at parties or award functions. Even after Sushant entered Bollywood with Kai Po Che, they remained in love. However, their relationship hit rock bottom and soon they parted ways. Now, after Sushant Singh Rajput's death, it is Ankita who is devastated. Old interviews and videos of them are resurfacing on the web.
Recently, an old interview of Ankita talking about always being good to Sushant has gone viral. It was after Ankita made her Bollywood debut with Kangana Ranaut's Manikarnika, it was SSR who commented on his ex-girlfriend's post congratulating her and wishing her all the best. Ankita, on social media, had responded to Sushant saying Thank You and wishing him the same.
Post this, during the promotions of Manikarnika, Ankita was asked about the same and she was quoted saying to Times Now, "I think I have always been good to him, he has always been good to me and it's good to appreciate good work. What's wrong in that? So it's nothing more than that. It's just an appreciation from one actor to another actor."
