Actor Nushrratt Bharuchha has managed to carve a successful niche for herself in the film industry by delivering some outstanding performances. The actress rose to prominence with Luv Ranjan's Pyaar Ka Punchnama and later gained fame with Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety. Her song ‘Chhote Chhote Peg’ from the film was loved by the masses as Nushrratt killed it with her hot moves. But do you know that her family was shocked by her bold outfit in the peppy track and asked her if she wore a bra?
The Dream Girl star herself made this surprising revelation in an old interview as she opened up about her family’s reaction to her outfit in the song. During her old appearance on RJ Siddharth Kannan’s show, Nushrratt revealed that her father, mother, and grandmother were a little 'taken aback' by her bold dress. The actress had stated, “They actually looked at me and asked me, ‘Is that a bra that you are wearing?’ I paused for two seconds and I said, ‘It’s a bralette. There’s a term for it, it’s a styling term. People wear it.”
Adding to this, the Chhalaang star admitted that her family was shocked a bit but they understood there is a reason why certain things are done for a certain theme. Nushrratt went on to point out that since she has not fallen low in any way so it was easy for her family to get over it. “Of course, they were a little taken aback, like, ‘Yeh kya hai (What is this)?’ It worked for the song, it worked for me, it looked nice, everybody spoke about it well, it became a hit. I think what happened was, they kind of understood there is a reason why certain things are done for a certain theme. It doesn’t take away from who I am. I have not fallen in any way so it was easy for them to get over it,” the actress further explained.
Meanwhile, Nushrratt Bharuchha, who turns 38 today, was recently seen in V. V. Vinayak’s action masala ‘Chatrapathi’ where she played the love interest of Bellamkonda Sreenivas, who played the titular role. The film was released on 12 May 2023 and it failed to win the hearts of the audience. The actress is best known for her roles in movies such as Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2, Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety, Dream Girl, Chhorii, Janhit Mein Jaari and Ram Setu.
