Salman Khan and Madhuri Dixit starrer family drama ‘Hum Aapke Hai Koun’ is one of the most iconic movies of all time. Even after so many years, Sooraj Barjatya’s directorial is loved by the masses and continues to win the hearts of fans. But do you know that Salman, while shooting, handled both the baby and dog (Tuffy) really well? Actor Renuka Shahane made this candid revelation in an old interview and said not every actor can do this.
Speaking with Rajshri, Renuka mentioned that she was ‘pleasantly’ surprised with Salman being able to handle the dog and the baby on sets so well. She was quoted saying, “Salman and Madhuri were comfortable with the baby and Tuffy equally. Not every actor can do this. Especially, Salman used to handle them so well. It is now that we know that he loves animals and babies. But at that time I was pleasantly surprised.”
In the same interview, Shahane also expressed that she was very nervous to dance with Madhuri and Salman on the song ‘Lo Chali Main’. “I was so scared to dance with Madhuri and Salman. But, both of them encouraged me so much. We have shot for this song while having so much fun,” she further revealed.
On a related note, ‘Hum Aapke Hai Koun’ also featured Mohnish Behl, Reema Lagoo, Anupam Kher, Alok Nath, and others. Having released on 5 August 1994, the movie became the highest-grossing film of the year and won many awards including two National Film Awards and five Filmfare Awards.
