Just like us, Bollywood celebrities too like to be a part of ongoing social media trends. Be it the FaceApp challenge or the Bottle Cap Challenge, they make a point to entertain their fans with the latest trends. But the very recent trend of #SareeTwitter Challenge has taken the platform by storm. Women from all around the world are sharing picture of themselves wearing a saree. Right from Tisca Chopra to Shabana Azmi, female celebrities are sharing their pictures as they join the trend.

Last night, Sonam Kapoor shared her ‘before and after’ pictures in Saree. While one picture being the Neerja girl’s childhood picture, the other one see Sonam looking stunning in a Lilac saree paired with off-shoulder blouse, flaunting her mangalsutra. If you may recall, Mrs Ahuja’s after picture was clicked right after she tied the knot with her long time boyfriend Anand Ahuja on May 8, last year. Check out her pics below:

The other celebs, who have also participated in #SareeTwitter are Shabana Azmi, Poonam Dhillion, and Tisca Chopra. Not only this, the official Twitter page Shah Rukh Khan’s production Red Chillies Entertainment also shared a few pictures of actress like Sushmita Sen from Main Hoon Na, Deepika Padukone from Chennai Express and one more.

But before you think, the #SareeTwitter was for ladies only then let us tell that you are mistaken. Ayushmann Khurrana too took to social media and shared a picture in saree. Captioning it he wrote, “#Dreamgirl later this this year. Sigh. #SareeTwitter”

Marathi Mulgi and Bollywood actress Renuka Shahne joined the trend and wrote, “It's so beautiful to see so many ladies and a few men participate in #SareeTwitter Here's one of my favourites #Paithani 😊 Kudos to all our weavers for keeping this priceless tradition alive”
