‘Sushant Singh Rajput’s IPS Brother-In-Law Asked Me To Call Rhea Chakraborty To Police Station Informally And Pressurise Her’, Says DCP Dahiya

Recently, a video statement of Sushant Singh Rajput’s father KK Singh surfaced on the Internet, wherein he mentions that he had alerted Mumbai Police about his son Sushant’s life being in danger, back in February. Soon after, Times Now shared screenshots of WhatsApp complaint shared by Sushant’s brother-in-law OP Singh, who is an IPS Officer. Now, in a conversation with a TV channel, Ex- DCP Bandra Paramjit Singh Dahiya has revealed that Sushant’s brother-in-law had asked him to call Rhea Chakraborty to the police station informally and to pressurize her.
In an interview with CNN News 18, Ex-DCP Bandra Paramjit Singh Dahiya shared that in February, some WhatsApp conversations were forwarded to him and that Sushant’s brother in law had said that the lady concerned should be dealt informally. Paramjit Singh Dahiya, who was reportedly the zonal police head of Bandra region till April 1, said, “Singh asked me to call Rhea Chakraborty to the police station informally and pressurise her.” He said that OP Singh told him that Sushant’s family felt Rhea was ‘controlling’ the actor.
However, DCP Dahiya said that the family hadn’t submitted a written complaint and OP Singh had made the informal request via WhatsApp messages in February.
The DCP also shared that in one of the WhatsApp chats they requested that a person called Miranda be kept in police custody for a day without any complaint or investigation, simply on the basis of WhatsApp messages. DCP Dahiya however, politely said that it wasn’t possible for him to keep anyone in custody at the police station as it was against procedure.
