The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) in its order has said police will soon be deployed in Metro coaches both in uniforms and civil clothes to keep a check on the objectionable behavior of the passengers. This move comes after a man was recently seen masturbating inside a Metro coach. Now, filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri has reacted to the decision of Delhi cops being deployed inside the metro and slammed it saying ‘this is so stupid.’

‘The Kashmir Files’ director took to his Twitter handle to react to this decision and tweeted, “This is so so so stupid.” He posted a picture of cops deployed inside the metro. The director also shared a report on the recent decision taken by the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) to ascertain that there was no display of 'objectionable' behavior. Meanwhile, the DMRC also plans to utilize the CCTV cameras installed inside the Metro to catch passengers making videos, which may cause inconvenience to others. Anuj Dayal, principal executive director, corporate communications, DMRC statement said, “We are looking to improve security and surveillance by implementing several measures. In their statement, DMRC had earlier asked commuters to conduct themselves responsibly while traveling by Metro. “If the other commuters notice any objectionable behaviour, they should report the matter immediately on the DMRC helpline, detailing the corridor, station and time, etc. DMRC will intensify the number of flying squads comprising Metro and security staff to monitor such behaviour and necessary action under relevant provisions of law shall be taken,” DMRC said.

Talking about Vivek Agnihotri, he recently made headlines for sending a legal notice to West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee for her "highly defamatory" comments against his film 'The Kashmir Files.'
