‘This Will Cost You A Lot’: Kangana Ranaut Threatens To Take Action Against Journalist Who Busted Her Claim; Actress Later Deletes Tweet
A few days ago, Kangana Ranaut’s office in Bandra, Mumbai was partly demolished by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC). The actress had also been involved in a war of words with Shiv Sena’s Sanjay Raut before that. Now, in an interview with Times Now, Kangana Ranaut claimed that she was forced to vote for Shiv Sena, even though she supports BJP. She claimed that she couldn’t find the button to vote for BJP, and she was instead forced to vote for Shiv Sena because of their alliance. She then said that this is the treatment she is getting. A journalist pointed out a factual error in this claim of Kangana’s, after which the actress threatened to take legal action against him. However, the actress then deleted her tweet.

Journalist Kamlesh Sutar replied to this, and pointed out, “I see some factual error here. @KanganaTeam says she ws forcd to vote for Shivsena. As per @CEO_Maharashtra data, @KanganaTeam is a voter of Bandra west seat. Ashish Shelar of BJP was Sena-BJP candidate here in 2019. In Loksabha agn Poonam Mahajan of the BJP fought n won.” The journalist further wrote that if Kangana was referring to 2014, then again BJP-Sena fought together in Loksabha with BJP contesting the seat. “in Assembly elections She had an option of voting for BJP as both the parties fought separately. And Yes they fought 2017 BMC elections separately as well!” he wrote.

This did not go down well with Kangana who threatened the journalist to take legal action. She tweeted, "You are wrong don’t spread misinformation I will send you a legal notice you will have to prove this in court, this trolling will cost you a lot you will end up in jail for your naughty lies," she tweeted. This tweet has now been deleted. The Mumbai Press Club condemned the threat by Kangana against the journalist and asked celebs, politicians, to not intimidate journalists.

Further replying to Kamlesh Sutar, Kangana wrote that in case it was some confusion, that does not make her a liar. “Group of hyenas alreday salivating. I voted with my family and staff they all agree with me we had to reluctantly vote for Shiv Sena, getting details and suppose it is some confusion which we arnt aware of, does not make me a liar. Vultures getting excited for no reason...”, read her tweet. ALSO READ: Netizens Disagree With Kangana Ranaut As She Says ‘She’s Not Ladaku’; Actress Says, ‘Will Quit Twitter If Proven Otherwise’
