15 Years Of Ready: Throwback To When Kubbra Sait Revealed Salman Khan Added Dialogues To Her Role
As Ready completes 15 years today, it's the perfect time to revisit a fascinating anecdote shared by Kubbra Sait about one of her earliest Bollywood experiences. Long before she became a household name with Sacred Games, Kubbra appeared in Salman Khan's blockbuster Ready in a small role that turned out to be a significant milestone in her journey.

In a throwback interview, Kubbra recalled auditioning for the film and being thrilled at the prospect of landing even a minor role. "This audition is the audition where I wore, like, a short black dress and waited for Anees Bazmee to walk into the office and give me a nod of approval. This was an audition where I was now going to be playing a maid in the film Ready, and I am so excited about this. The crazy self-belief I always had doing this film was because this film was a new experience for me. Like, I had never done a film," she shared.

Kubbra also revealed that Salman Khan noticed her on set and reportedly added dialogues to her character, giving her more screen presence in the film. What seemed like a small gesture became an unforgettable moment in her early career.

Reflecting on her decision to take up the role, despite criticism from others, Kubbra said, "Every person told me I was mad, I was mental, and I was impatient for doing Sunaina Kapoor's role in Ready. But if I had not done Ready, if I were not mad enough to do Ready, I would have never been Kuku. Never say never. And there are no small roles. There are only small actors."

Fifteen years later, that belief continues to define Kubbra Sait's inspiring journey.
