20 Years Of Mohabbatein: Farah Khan Reveals 'We Were Not Supposed To Know At That Point If Aishwarya Was Shah Rukh's Imagination Or Not'
Today marked 20 years of Aditya Chopra's Mohabbatein starring Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in pivotal roles backed by Yash Raj Films. The film also introduced many young stars to the industry like Uday Chopra, Jimmy Shergill, Jugal Hansraj, Shamita Shetty, Kim Sharma and Preeti Jhangiani. On that note, Farah Khan who was roped in by director Aditya Chopra to choreograph all the numbers spilt some unheard deets about the movie. Farah Khan revealed how no one was supposed to know whether Aishwarya Rai Bachchan who played Shah Rukh Khan’s onscreen ladylove was real or his imagination.

Farah Khan said, “We were not supposed to know, at that point, whether Aishwarya was Shah Rukh's imagination or not. He would see her in places and she was the spirit behind the love stories.” Also gushing over the song Humko Humise Chura Lo being one of the best songs from the movie, she said,  “We shot in London. We shot in freezing cold nights with rain and we went to Switzerland to shoot two songs, Humko Humise Chura Lo, which I think is one of the best songs in the film, really beautifully done.”

The film marked Aishwarya and Shah Rukh Khan’s reunion on the silver screen. Farah also revealed Aditya Chopra almost having a screenplay for all the songs and the director knew all the songs had a beginning, middle and end.

She added, “It helped that Adi was very, very, very clear on what he wanted in every song. Every song had a screenplay. It was composed like that, with act one, act two, act three. He knew what would happen at the beginning of the song and the middle and at the end.” ALSO READ: Mohabbatein Completes 20 Years: Farah Khan Recalls When SRK Learned The Steps In 5 Mins And Aishwarya Rai Bachchan Did Not Fuss About Freezing Cold
