A Docu-Series Chronicling Salman Khan's Rise To Superstardom Is In The Making; Film May Feature His Family Members And Co-Stars Among Others-Report

Salman Khan is one of the most celebrated actors in Bollywood who boasts an unparalleled stardom extending to the remotest places of India. The actor holds a close bond with his fans and his several films crossing the 100-crore mark prove their unconditional love for him. Salman's journey to where he has reached has not been an easy one. He has faced rejections, criticism, heartbreaks and failures in his career and personal life, but has emerged like a phoenix.
In other words, Salman's story is no less than a masala potboiler. And a documentary on his life and times makes for an interesting prospect any day. Taking this into account, SKF Films with Wiz Films and Applause Entertainment have reportedly decided to helm a docu-series on Salman Khan for an OTT Giant.
A Pinkvilla report quoted a source revealing details about the yet-to-be announced project and how all the key stakeholders of Salman’s career – right from family to his co-stars, directors and producers – will be a part of this docu series.
“The idea is to chronicle Salman’s journey to superstardom and also give a glimpse to the audience about the lesser-known facts of the actor. All the key stakeholders of Salman’s career – right from family to his co-stars, directors and producers – will be a part of this docu series. The prep work has already begun and the interviews with Salman’s colleagues will be done in the coming few months,” said the source close to the development.
The report further said that the team is in conversation with an OTT giant for the premiere.
Interestingly, a documentary is being made on Salman’s father - celebrated writer Salim Khan and his partnership with the legendary, Javed Akhtar - too. The Salim–Javed story is reportedly being conceptualised by Farhan and Zoya Akhtar with Salman for Netflix.
Work-wise, Salman Khan is currently shooting in Austria for his upcoming film, Tiger 3. Helmed by Maneesh Sharma, the film stars Katrina Kaif as the female lead. Later in November, he will start working on Sajid Nadiadwala production’s Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali.
