If all goes well, Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar’s company Excel Entertainment will bring the fresh pairing of Sidharth Malhotra and Katrina Kaif on the silver screen.
The grapevine is that the two are on board for a sci-fi film about time travel to be directed by debutant director Nitya Mehra.
For the hero, first Aamir Khan was approached and though he liked the script, money matters played spoilsport.
Then Hrithik Roshans name did the rounds- but he eventually went on to sign Ashutosh Gowariker's Mohenjo-Daro.
For the female lead, Deepika Padukone had been considered.
But now, looks like, Sidharth and Katrina will be paired opposite each other.
Is it that after working with the Khans and Akshay Kumar, Katrina is looking at working with younger heroes? Is Aditya Roy Kapur in Fitoor a case in point?
