Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao are the founders of Paani foundation and are more than happy to be associated with it for a long time now. Paani Foundation is a non-profit, non-governmental organization which is active in the area of drought prevention and watershed management in the state of Maharashtra, India. Recently, the Dangal star expressed gratitude towards every donor who has been contributing to the Paani foundation. As Aamir Khan celebrates ‘Paani Foundation’ he took to Insta to respond with a gratitude note.
Ministry of Jal Shakti dropped a tweet on their Twitter account that read “Today we celebrate Paani Foundation, founded by renowned actor Sh. Amir Khan and his wife Smt. Kiran Rao. This NGO has been transforming regions of Maharashtra from drought to prosperity. 'Satyamev Jayate Water Cup' was an applauding initiative by the NGO.” The post was backed by a creative image of people enjoying the initiative undertaken by Paani Foundation. In no time, Aamir Khan gave a heart-melting reply to this tweet.
He re-tweeted the same and wrote, “Kiran and I would like to thank the Ministry of Jal Shakti, on behalf of every member of Paani Foundation, for acknowledging our efforts. Thank you for the highlights this people’s movement against drought in Maharashtra. This would not be possible without the support of our donors, and every Maharashtrian who has contributed to this effort and has been a part of this journey. Your kind words fill us with hope and strength. We remain steadfast in our efforts and are humbled to be working alongside thousands of water heroes in Maharashtra. Thank you”
On the professional front, the superstar will be seen in Laal Singh Chhadda opposite Kareena Kapoor Khan. The movie will be released soon in theatres.
