Aamir Khan On Shah Rukh Khan & Salman Khan: One Failure Does Not Affect Their Stardom
At the launch of Secret Superstar’s first song, Main Kaun Hoon, superstar Aamir Khan spoke about Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan’s latest outings not living up to expectations, says every actor has his ups and downs
Aamir Khan launched the first song from his upcoming
production venture Secret Superstar a while ago. The song titled, Main Kaun
Hoon, features lead actress Zaira Wasim performing on stage.
At the event, Aamir took on a number of questions from
the media present. To begin with, he was asked about the film clashing with
Ajay Devgn-starrer Golmaal Again, to which the superstar said, "I don't
think there is any clash. Diwali has space for two big releases. Both films are
completely different from each other as far as the genre is concerned, so there
is no question of thinking about a clash.”
Aamir also spoke about the current failures of Shah Rukh
Khan (Jab Harry Met Sejal) and Salman Khan (Tubelight) at the box-office, who
were previously considered flop-proof.
“Whenever people talk about superstars, they refer to
Salman, Shah Rukh and me, which is unfair. There are many other stars who are
equally big and have a huge fan following. Akshay (Kumar) for example. His
recent release, Toilet-Ek Prem Katha, has been performing well at the ticket
windows and people are loving it. Also, every actor give his best and has his
ups and downs. Just one film not doing well doesn't necessarily affect the
stardom of that said actor," said Aamir.
Coming back to the song, Aamir launched the singer of the
track- Meghna. The teenager gave a scintillating performance in front of the
attendees.
To talk of the film, Aamir Khan has a cameo and plays
music composer Shakti Kumar, while Zaira plays an aspiring singer.
