Actor Rahul Roy, who is known for his role in the film Aashiqui suffered a brain stroke while shooting for a film titled LAC-Live The Battle in Kargil. The Bigg Boss 1 winner is currently admitted to a Mumbai hospital, as per reports

Actor Rahul Roy, who rose to fame through his debut film Aashiqui has suffered a brain stroke. As per the reports, the popular actor of the 90s was shooting for a film titled LAC-Live The Battle in Kargil. The report stated that Rahul Roy is currently admitted to a Mumbai hospital. According to a report in the Indian Express, the Bigg Boss 1 winner was shooting in Kargil when the incident occurred. The report stated that Roy suffered the stroke due to extreme weather conditions in the region. He was then taken to Srinagar and then admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Mumbai’s Nanavati hospital.

While speaking with the portal, Rahul Roy’s brother Romeer Sen confirmed the news about the actor’s ill health. He mentioned that Rahul Roy is ‘recovering’. Speaking with ABP News, Roy’s brother-in-law said, “He has been kept in the ICU as a precautionary measure. There is nothing to worry about." According to the report, the 52-year-old actor also underwent a test for COVID-19. He tested negative as the result of the report was out.  

As per the report, Rahul Roy completed the shooting of his film. Roy’s project also features Bigg Boss 14 ex-contestant, Nishant Singh Malkhani. The report stated that the film Roy was shooting is based on a real-life event of the Galwan Ghati. The movie is directed by Nitin Kumar Guptam and is produced by Chitra Vakil Sharma and Nivedita Basu.

Meanwhile, Rahul Roy is known for his stellar performance in the film like Pyaar Ka Saaya, Jaanam, Sapne Sajan Ke, apart from Aashiqui. He was also a part of the reality show Bigg Boss season one and emerged as the winner.
