Abhay Deol On Farhan Akhtar’s Jee Le Zaraa And If He Will Have A Cameo In The Film
Abhay Deol, who was seen in Zoya Akhtar’s Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara alongside Farhan Akhtar and Hrithik Roshan, talks about Farhan's directorial comeback, Jee Le Zaraa and if he would be seen in a cameo in it
After giving two iconic friendship tales in the form of road trip films in Dil Chahta Hai and Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, the sibling duo of Farhan Akhtar and Zoya Akhtar created intrigue among the whole country last month when they announced their third road trip film Jee Le Zaraa. The difference this time being, it’s an all-girls road trip.
While Dil Chahta Hai was directed by Farhan, ZNMD was helmed by Zoya and now Jee Le Zaraa marks Farhan’s return to direction after 10 years of Don 2. The actor-filmmaker has pulled off one of the biggest casting coups in Bollywood for the film by getting three leading actresses—Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Katrina Kaif and Alia Bhatt—on board.
Actor Abhay Deol had been a part of ZNMD and in a recent conversation with a leading daily, when the actor was asked if he has seen the poster of Jee Le Zaraa, and if he found any ZNMD vibes in it, he replied, “It looks fun. It has got great talent behind and in front of the screen. It was exciting just to look at it. I don't know the story or the script. It just looks exciting.”
When asked if one can expect a cameo from Abhay in the film, he responded saying, “I don't think so. I'm not so big on cameos. If it's needed, then sure. I don't have a problem with them. But I don't think it's needed.”
Jee Le Zaraa is being written by Farhan, Zoya and Reema Kagti, and is produced under Excel Entertainment and Tiger Baby Films. It is expected to go on the floors in 2022 and is eyeing for a theatrical release in 2023.
