Abhishek Bachchan And Meezaan Jafri Approached For The Hindi Remake Of Tamil Film Oh My Kadavule? Here's What We Know
Our Thursday started with a piece of happy news of Abhishek Bachchan getting approached for the Hindi remake of the Tamil movie, Oh My Kadavule. The romantic fantasy will reportedly be directed by Ashwath Marimuthu, the OG who directed the Tamil version as well. A report said this remake will probably see Shalini Pandey in the lead. For the unversed, Shalini was seen in blockbuster hit Arjun Reddy. But looks like there's no truth to this set of speculations.

Parag Desai, the official spokesperson for the film, has clarified that the news is untrue. "As of now the makers are on the scripting stage and no actors have been finalised for the project," he added.

The clarification automatically refutes the speculation that said Meezaan Jafri was also approached for this movie.

The two-film old actor Meezaan has been praised for his latest release, Hungama 2. He is also reportedly working with Priyadarshan on a thriller. The actor’s father Jaaved Jaaferi, in an exclusive conversation with SpotboyE.com, had expressed he was overwhelmed with the praises Meezaan has been receiving for his work.

Talking about Abhishek Bachchan, he has resumed after he suffered a fracture during his film shoot in Chennai. The actor updated his fans about his recovery on social media. He posted a picture of him with a sling and wrote "Had a freak accident in Chennai on the set of my new film last Wednesday. Fractured my right hand. Needed surgery to fix it! So a quick trip back home to Mumbai. Surgery done, all patched-up and casted. And now back in Chennai to resume work. As they say... The show must go on! And as my father said.... Mard ko dard nahin hota! Ok, ok, ok it hurt a little. Thank you all for your wishes and get-well-soon messages."

Abhishek Bachchan is currently filming the Hindi remake of Otha Seruppu. The movie is directed by director Parthiepan, who also helmed the Tamil version. He was last seen in Big Bull, Ludo and web series Breathe: Into the Shadows. He also shot for his upcoming projects such as Dasvi and Bob Biswas during the pandemic.
