Sunday saw Shashi Kapoor being felicitated with the Dadasaheb Phalke Award. The Kapoor khandaan was out in full force, cheering for the veteran actor.
Abhishek Bachchan’s presence at the event was another highlight. While Amitabh Bachchan has always maintained a polite rapport with the Kapoors, Abhishek has not been seen with the first family of Bollywood following his break-up with Karisma Kapoor in 2002.
However, AB Jr gave everyone a lesson in gentlemanlike behaviour as he bonded with the Kapoors at the function. Not only did he chat with Neetu Kapoor for a long time, but also hugged Kunaal Kapoor and clicked pictures with the family.

“Rishi and Abhishek have had a great time working together. That has broken the ice between the actor and the family. He kept a safe distance from them all along but things are changing now,” says a source, adding, He didnt mingle with Karisma for obvious reasons.
