Abhishek's Loss Is Saif's Gain?

Many had written Saif Ali Khan off last year after his debacles Humshakals and Happy Ending. Well, they might have to eat their words now because the actor is on a roll.
After signing Ekta Kapoor’s adaptation of The Devotion Of Suspect X and Vishal Bhardwajs next, Saif has now been approached by Kamal Haasan.
Haasan narrated the script to Saif, just a few days before he left for his vacation to Maldives. The actor has shown keen interest in the project and is working out the dates. The film may tentatively roll in December this year.
SpotboyE.com also has it that Abhishek Bachchan was the first choice for this role. AB Jr had expressed his eagerness to work with Haasan when he attended the music launch of Shamitabh. The duo eventually met and discussed the project, but things did not work out.
Next thing you know, the project fell in Saifs lap.
“Its an intense love story and Saif loved the role. The dates are fast being worked out,” says a source close to the actor.
We sent a text to Saif, but he didnt revert.
