According to the latest media reports, casting director and actress Aarti Mittal has been arrested by Mumbai Police’s Crime Branch allegedly for running a sex racket. She has been accused of running a Prostitution racket inside the film industry and supplying models to customers. Two models reportedly fell into the trap after Aarti promised to pay them Rs 15,000 each. Mumbai Police’s crime department busted a sex racket on April 17 when they disguised as undercover customers and arrived at a hotel in Mumbai’s Goregaon.

Two models were later recused from the spot and they have been sent to a rehabilitation centre. As reported by Zoom, Aarti, Aarti, who is a resident of Oshiwara, used to trick models to get into prostitution. Aarti lured the models with a hefty amount and later trapped them in a prostitution racket. Police Inspector Manoj Sutar was the one who got the information about this sex racket through his sources and to bust the racket he contacted Aarti as a customer. The inspector told her to send two girls for two of his friends and claimed Aarti demanded Rs 60,000 for sending the girls before forwarding their pictures on Manoj’s cellphone. 



The officer revealed that the casting director sent pictures of two women on his phone, informing the models would either come to Juhu or Goregaon-based hotels. Manoj Sutar then booked the two rooms in Goregaon and sent two inspectors who were disguised as customers When Aarti arrived with the models, she handed the undercover inspectors contraceptives. All of this was recorded on spy cameras. She was caught red-handed by the police personnel as they raided the hotel. Mittal has been booked under Section 370 of the IPC and other relevant sections for girls' trafficking.

In a statement given to the police, the rescued models revealed on accepting Aarti’s demand of getting into prostitution, they use to get Rs 15,000 each. For the unversed, Aarti Mittal works both as a casting director and as an actor in the industry. She has worked in the television serial Appnapan - Badalate Rishton Ka Bandhan.
