Actor Piyush Mishra Was Sexually Abused In 7th Class By A Female Relative; Says ‘That Sexual Assault Gave Me Complex Throughout My Life’
Actor, singer, and composer Piyush Mishra in his autobiographical novel made a shocking revelation that he was sexually abused by a female relative. The veteran actor shared that he was in the 7th standard when the horrifying incident took place and that it left a deep impact on his life. In his book titled, ‘Tumhari Auqaat Kya Hai Piyush Mishra’, he mentioned that sexual assault gave him complexity throughout his life and it took him a long time to come out of it.

In an interview with PTI, Piyush recalled that traumatic incident revealing that some of them were women and some men who are now well-established in the film industry. He was quoted saying, “Sex is such a healthy thing that your first encounter with it should be good, otherwise it scars you for life, it disturbs you for life. That sexual assault gave me complex throughout my life and it took me a long time and several partners to come out of it.” He added, “I wanted to hide the identity of some people. Some of them are women, and some men who are now well established in the film industry. I did not want to take revenge against anybody, or to hurt anyone.”



Mishra has poured his heart out in his book as he has shared many aspects of his life. He also talked about his struggling days before getting recognition. He also expressed his interest in exploring film direction. 

Work-wise, Piyush is widely known for his acting chops in films like Maqbool and Gangs of Wasseypur.
